The Fishers of Men Prison Ministry Website was developed with two groups of people in mind.

1. The former inmates and their families.

2. Groups and individuals desiring to minister to ex-offenders and their families.

We believe Jesus when he says “The truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). He is referring to spiritual freedom. However we understand the Missouri Department of Corrections release inmates after they have paid their debt to society. As they enter our communities it is important to assist the former inmates and their families as they strive to become productive citizens.

Please prayerfully consider partnering with us as we follow the teaching of Jesus when he says in (Matthew 25:35)” For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me.”

Our goal is to sare the word of God with the lost. Our primary focus is on the Missouri Department of Corrections. Most of us in this ministry are volunteers in correction or (VICs). Basically we are unpaid staff of the Missouri Department of Corrections. We all had to complete several days of training and orientations to be able to go into the prisons. We must also attend yearly training sessions to keep us brought upon the ever changing policies of the Department of Corrections.

We currently have services in South Central Correctional Center (SCCC) which is in Licking Mo., Booneville Correctional Center (BCC) in Boonville Mo., Ozark Correctional Center (OCC) in Fordland Mo., and services in Potosi Correctional Center (PCC) Potosi Mo. We are basically centered out of the Springfield Mo. area and are always looking for volunteers in and around the Correctional Centers mentioned.

If you are interested in volunteering please check out our Volunteer Page. We also look forward to bringing our Prison Ministry to the local churches, if you are interested in having us come to your church and share with you what Jesus is doing inside the walls of the Missouri Department of Corrections Please contact us for arrangements

We believe James 5:16. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. So please consider us in your prayers. If you are so lead to donate there is a place on our site where you can do that also. Thank you for visiting our website.
